With a background in nursing, I’ve supported people through some of life’s most challenging and vulnerable moments. This experience has taught me the value of empathy, patience, and truly listening to someone’s story. It has also given me a deep understanding of how our mind and body are connected, and how emotional stress can affect our overall wellbeing.
As a counsellor, I bring this insight into my practice, creating a safe and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. My goal is to support you in navigating life’s challenges, discovering new perspectives, and finding a sense of balance, growth, and empowerment.
Alongside my private practice I also provide counselling at Thanet Counselling Service & have worked at the Pilgrims Hospice as a counsellor. Offering emotional support to individuals navigating the deeply personal journey of grief & loss, anxiety, trauma, relationships, self-esteem & big life changes is a privilege, & it has given me a profound appreciation for the courage, resilience, & vulnerability involved in facing life’s most challenging moments.
I have also worked with charitable mental health organisations such as Mind, supporting individuals through regular mentoring & crisis walk-in centres. In addition, I have experience in providing counselling at a number of charitable counselling services.
I find joy in life’s simple moments—walking my two dogs along the beach, spending time in nature, or curling up with a good book. I’m naturally curious, love learning, & have always been fascinated by the stories & experiences that shape who we are. I enjoy planning little adventures, connecting with the people I care about, & taking time to notice the small things that make life meaningful. These simple joys help me feel grounded & bring a sense of balance and perspective that I carry into both my life & my work as a counsellor.
